|John Chung, MD
is a Board Certified Dermatologist and received specific training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Scripps Clinic Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. Dr. Chung frequently lectures to medical, professional and civic groups about skin cancer prevention, skin care and surgical procedures. Dr. Chung has been in private practice since 1996. Dr. Chung’s philosophy and mission for his practice is to provide the highest level of dermatologic care to all people equally with courtesy, honesty and patience.
|Jane Yoon Clark, MD
is a Board Certified Physician and completed her Internal Medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island. She completed medical school at Loma Linda University in California where her initial interest in dermatology began. Since 2008, she has specialized in dermatology, and she enjoys all aspects of dermatology including medical and surgical dermatology.
|Natasha Ballard, MD
is a board-certified physician who completed her family medicine residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ballard has cared for patients of all ages with various internal and dermatologic medical conditions since 2006. She has practiced urgent care medicine since 2009 until choosing to focus on dermatology in 2011. As with her training, Dr. Ballard enjoys the clinical aspect of dermatology, including skin conditions from internal illness, in children and adults.
|Douglas DiRuggiero, PA-C
is a Certified Physician Assistant. Douglas graduated with Honors from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program and received a Masters of Health Sciences. He practiced in Internal Medicine for three years and has specialized in Dermatology since 2000. Focused on diagnosis and treating all skin, hair and nail diseases, he also enjoys the surgical and cosmetic aspects of dermatology. Douglas has published articles and photos in dermatology journals, and he frequently lectures at medical conferences throughout the Southeast. He is the founding president of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistant Society.
|Joe Langshaw, PA-C
is a Certified Physician Assistant. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Joe completed his Physician Assistant education at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and has specialized in dermatology since 2005. Focused on diagnosing and treating all skin, hair and nail diseases, he also flourishes in the surgical aspects of dermatology. Joe resides in Calhoun with his wife, Ashleigh and daughter, Macy and enjoys dogs, golf and playing the guitar.
|Victor Czerkasij, APRN, BC, FNP
is a dual-boarded AANP and AANC Family Nurse Practitioner. An honors graduate and clinical instructor from both Vanderbilt University and Southern Adventist University, he has published multiple articles on varying skin conditions, and has been awarded for his writing on psoriasis. An associate speaker with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, he lectures frequently at national conferences on dermatology topics, but most enjoys caring for his patients in Cleveland.
|Amanda Cook, FNP-C
is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner’s (AANP) and joined the Skin Cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology Centers in 2008 after completing her Master’s degree from Southern Adventist University. Within the practice, she focuses on the technical and skillful art of cosmetic repair after skin cancer removal. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Delta State University in 2002 and practiced for six years as an RN at various hospitals in the United States. She currently lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee and practices in the Dalton and Cleveland offices.
|Rebecca Fowlkes, FNP-C
is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner's (AANP). Rebecca joined the Skin Cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology Centers in 2010 after completing her Masters’ degree from Vanderbilt University. She received her bachelors’ degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and practiced as an RN at various hospitals in the United States before going back to school to pursue her Masters’ degree. Focused on diagnosing and treating all skin, hair, and nail diseases, she also enjoys the cosmetic and surgical arts of dermatology.
|Ashley Thurman, FNP-C
is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). After completing nursing school at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she attended Southern Adventist University where she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing and graduated with honors. While treating all disorders of hair, skin and nails, she focuses on the cosmetic aspect of dermatology including surgical repair following Mohs surgery or excisions, wrinkle filler injections, Botox and Dysport injections, and sclerotherapy for spider vein treatment. She practices at both the Cleveland and Dalton offices.
|Duke Ballard, PA
a prior Army Airborne Ranger, graduated from the US Army Physician Assistant Program and received his Bachelor of Science, with the honor of Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He began his career working in the surgical specialties before switching to Dermatology in 2000. His extensive surgical experience is a great asset in the discipline of dermatological surgery. Duke also enjoys the clinical aspects of dermatology and the challenge of treating the diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Duke is practicing both clinical and surgical dermatology in our Kimball, TN, office. He is an avid horseman and breeder of Quarter Horses. He and his family have competed in Cutting, Team Penning and Sorting events around the country.

Rebecca is a Skin Care Clinician and Laser Technician. She has been treating patients in the Rome area since 2002 and has over 25 years experience with certification in beauty, skin care and cosmetics. Rebecca specializes in clinical skin care, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, acne treatments, advanced skin analysis and laser hair removal. She is certified with Palomar Pulsed-Light Systems for photorejuvenation, leg veins and hair removal, DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing System for microdermabrasion and the GloMinerals Makeup System.

|Catherine Ruiz, LMA
believes that skin care does not have to be complex to be effective. After graduating with a B.S in Health Information Administration from Loma Linda University in 2007, she decided to pursue her passion for skin care. Catherine began training for aesthetics with our company in 2007 and graduated from the International College of Arts and Beauty school in 2008. She focuses on making a tailored skin care regimen for each of her clients and educates them about the causes and effects of everyday skincare issues. Catherine specializes in acne, rosacea, melasma and age intervention skin care. She believes that proper skin care begins with choosing high quality products maximized by a consistent facial regime.
|Leann Jones, LMA
is a licensed Aesthetician who has been with the practice since 2007. With the experience she gains from hands on treatment and on-going educational courses she attends, she finds assessing and addressing skin conditions both challenging and rewarding. LeeAnn pays close attention to detail when consulting with her clients about their specific needs to customize their service. She keeps up to date with the newest technology by attending continuing education seminars and webinars. Most importantly, LeeAnn loves her line of work and thoroughly enjoys helping people with their skin and skincare needs.
